Are we teaching our children the right subjects?x
When our children,as they get older, see the successes of politicians, captains of industry and other successful world figures
too many of
whom succeed in amassing vast fortunes and status symbols by nefarious
means are we teaching our children a too narrow curriculum?i
Should
we be opening up the ways of attaining these lifestyles by explaining
how to enter the arms trade or drug dealing on an international scale,
how to launder money and move it undetected to offshore tax havens.
Should
we be explaining to them the benefits of corruption and how to avoid
prosecution or do we just carry on teaching them to be good law-abiding
citizens who will, unless they win the lottery, barely make a living-does honesty and hard work really pay or is it better to be poor and
honest than rich and famous with all that that lifestyle brings?i
