MAKING QUESTIONS IN FRENCH
Regular Case
There are three ways of forming an interrogative phrase:x
a. by adding Est-ce que
Example
Est-ce que vous allez voyager demain?x
Are you going to travel tomorrow?x
b. by changing the pitch of phrase:x
Example
Vous allez voyager demain?x
Are you going to travel tomorrow?x
c. by inverting the phrase:x
Example
Allez-vous voyager demain?x
Are you going to travel tomorrow?x

The pronouns qui and que are used according to the rules below:x
a.Qui means Who or Whom
Examples
Qui est à l'appareil?x
Qui est dans le metro?x
who is speaking (at the telephone)?x

Que faites-vous demain?x
What are you going to do tomorrow?x
