    For Peace Pour La Paix

It's in the paper every day C'est dans les journaux tous les jours
You see it in the headlines and you feel so sick Tu le vois dans les titres et cela te donne envie de vomir
As another life leaves this world - this world so full of hate - but short ! Tandis qu'une autre vie quitte ce monde - ce monde remplie d'haine - mais vide !
Short on compassion, short on humanity Vide de compassion, vide d'humanité
Asking myself in vain, shaken by the shock Je me demande en vain, secoué par le choc
Do we even have a chance ? Avons-nous encore une chance ?

I don't want to die Je ne veux pas mourrir
I don't want to kill Je ne veux pas tuer
We are all human Nous sommes tous humain
It's time to prove it C'est le moment de le prouver

This is a plea for peace (world peace) C'est un appel pour la paix (la paix mondiale)
To the oppressors of the world (and to) Aux oppresseurs de ce monde ( et aussi)
To the leaders of nations, Aux dirigeants des nations,
Corporate profit takers, Les preneurs de profit commun,
To the every day citizen Aux citoyens de tous les jours
Greed, envy, fear, hate- the competition has to stop ! Avidité, envie, peur, haine - la competition doit s'arrêter !
When you see someone down - now is the time to pick `em up Quand tu vois quelqu'un à terre- maintenant c'est le temps de le relever
Set our difference aside and never look back ! Mettons nos différences de côté et ne regardons jamais en arrière !

Isn't everybody tired of the fighting ? Est-ce que personne n'est fatigué des combats ?
Isn't everybody tired of the killing ? Est-ce que personne n'est fatigué de tuer ?
Isn't everybody tired of the dying ?Est-ce que personne n'est fatiguer des morts ?
Hatred ? De la Haine ?
Violence ? De la Violence ?
    Fighting ? Des combats ?
    Killing ? Des meurtres ?
Dying ? De la mort ?x
    *****************
No More Drama (Plus De Douleur)

So tired, tired of these drama Si fatiguée, fatiguée de ce drame
    No more, Plus jamais,
I wanna be free Je veux être libre
I'm so tired, Je suis si fatiguée,

Broken heart again Mon coeur encore brisé
Another lesson learn Une autre leçon apprise
Better know your friends Connais mieux tes amis
Or else you will get burn Ou tu te brûleras
Gotta count on me Tu peux compter sur moi
Cause I can guarantee Car je peux garantir
That I'll be fine Que je serais mieux
No more pain Plus de douleur
No drama (no more drama in my life) Pas de drame ( plus de drame dans ma vie )
No one's gonna make me hurt again Personne ne me blessera plus
What a player fool Quel inconscient
Go through ups and downs Passe par des hauts et bas
Nowhere and all the time Nulle part et tout le temps
You wouldn't be around Tu ne seras pas dans les environs
Or maybe I like the stress Ou peut-être que j'aime le stress
Cause I was young and restless Car j'étais jeune et agitée
But there was long ago Mais c'était il y a longtemps
I don't wanna cry no more Je ne veux plus pleurer

No more game (no more game messin with my mind) Plus de jeu ( Plus de jeu malsaint avec mon esprit )
No one's gonna make me hurt again Personne ne me blessera plus
No more tears (no more tears, I'm tired of cryin everynight) Plus de larmes ( Plus de larmes, je suis fatiguée de pleurer toutes les nuits )
No more fears (no more fears, I really don't wanna cry) Plus de frayeurs ( Plus de frayeurs, je ne veux vraiment pas pleurer )
I don't ever wanna hurt again Je ne veux plus jamais souffrir
Wanna speak my mind, Je veux dire ce que je pense

it feel so good on se sent si bien
When you let go Quand tu te laisses aller
Avoid these drama in your life Evitant ces drames dans ta vie
Now you're free from all the pain Maintenant tu es liberé de toute ta douleur
Free from all the game Libre de tout le jeu
Free from all the stress Libre de tout le stress
So bye your happiness Donc au revoir ta joie
I don't know Je ne sais pas
Only God knows where the story is Seul Dieu sait où est l'histoire
For me, but I know where the story begins Pour moi, mais je sais pas où l'histoire a commencé
It's up to us to choose C'est à nous de chosir
Whatever we win or loose Si nous voulons gagner ou perdre
And I choose to win Et j'ai choisi de gagner

هام RACISM- a game of colour

مُساهمة من طرف In The Zone الأربعاء نوفمبر 24, 2010 9:52 pm

    RACISM- a game of colour

I give you a set of colours

Red, blue, green, yellow, pink, brown, black and white
And you would say red and blue are complement complimentary,
and that contemporary brown and green are supplementary
    And white is elementary,
    and that black is voluntary
I would say its the adjective of racism
For racism is a game of colour
For racism is trauma of complexion

    You argue black is obscurity,
white is dazzling and brown poverty
    with yellow as footling
    But i withstand your considerations
I would say they are the adjectives of racism
For racism is a game of colour
    For racism is shame humanitarian

    Tired! wanna defend?
Well, i give you some more parameters:
    Demography, shape, education, economy, gender
You would say demography is fortune
    And shape is good trait
That economy is brained brawn power
While gender supporting the theory of magnetism-'Unlike poles attract each other'
I would say they suffice for adjectives of racism
For racism is a game of colour
For racism is as despicable as a heinous odour

    Hither and thither,
    helter skeleter,
    far and near,
    thereover, hereunder,
I find, you see, we have colours blaming each other
Some colours say they are souvenirs
    And that rest are samaritans
Some colours say they are absolute riches
And that others are dumped ditches

    Hypothetically colours have some limitations
Like the dimensions in a piece of paper
    And once it is replete
There is no need for scribbling black and blue
Like in reality some job agencies tag some skilled candidates to be obsolete-
Only coz' they don't match a colour of their tape-the bureaucratic red tape,
Or, they do not have blue references for a lush green outcome as future
Here ironically, one should really ponder
The world around us would have been a sheer monotony
Bereft of all hues considered as under

    Casts, creeds, race and religion,
Culture, scripture, pictorial mother nature are all the very similar
They are phonetics like alpha and a we caricature
That we are all the same red when scratched or when required:
They are all in the same plane of earth
    Only dimensions and appearences differ
So that human life becomes a snapper

    Do colours really speak?
    I asked the whole world
    And you know?
    People quote as white monarchs;
    People smote as brown oligarchs;
    People wrote as black democrats;
    People vote as yellow technocrats;
And colours all making them beautiful
    Like the significant black nightfall,
    white day,
    yellow sunshine,
green leaves to blossom and enshrine
Same as the burlesque bounties of bespoke bespectacled nature
who is incomparably incredible with all her attributes

    I sat sniggering and contemplative
As racism walks in tandem with all virtues vying them
    It stings like a ratatouille
where people, gets, getting, shall be getting stewed hours forever
As racism seems like a schizoid daydream
As racism is - a pharmakone.
I am a thinking victim of such maelstrom
    Searching for ancillary stores in its claustrophobic confines;
Like a fly staggering in a spider spun web
I then scooped at this child,
A child drawing on a white paper the colour of imaginations
    I derived a cryogenic satisfaction
For this child is not superseded,
and it deracinated the hedonistic outlaws,
the picture of nature- a reality
with its barbling waterways, the labyrinths having rich impacto of sherbert colours and, and
    having a honeymoon,
And no sign of bacchanal pride,
no symbol of banal pejorative prejudice,

I derived that colours are always distinguishing
And not meant for any pugnacious ensuing
    As it is horribly prescient,
more than the floundering earth beneath melting ice-caps.

    هام Racism still sadly continues

مُساهمة من طرف In The Zone الأربعاء نوفمبر 24, 2010 9:55 pm

    Racism still sadly continues

Racism comes in many different shapes and forms

Sadly I have had my fair share since I’ve been born
Judged before I have been even given a chance
Delaying my future and for my career to advance

My parents tell me of stories they have had to endure
I wish racism was a sickness with a dose of medication to cure
Thankfully there are good hearted and educated people
Who can look beyond skin colour and treat us all as an equal

Why would another person’s skin colour be such an issue?
Get to know them; they might have things in common just like you
I am so fed up of hearing “They from so and so, they all the same”
Everyone has differences but skin colour is not to blame

I wonder sometimes is it because the racist themselves are afraid to mix
Who knows, I am only looking for a solution to get it fixed
It’s a major problem none of us like or need,
How sad to hear, a racist sees skin colour the only reason to want to make you bleed
You see films like ‘Mississippi Burning’
I think to myself that was then but when are racist going to start learning?

If humans never saw in colour, what would it be like then?
I am sure everyone would get along and call each other friend
I hope my kids and the next generation never get to witness racism first hand
Lets pray for them racism was a issue in the past that no longer stands

Life is hard as it is, without the need of racism
Like supporting our family and giving our kids a good education
Ways to stop racism should begin at home and school
Getting along will be our biggest advantage, our strongest tool
I did have people who I did call friends
But their own racist views meant our friendship had to end

It does not matter, if your white, black or brown
You should feel safe to walk and talk in any town
Racism has to be erased from every country and every street
Knowing racism is not an issue when theirs someone new we meet
Everyone has the right to go anywhere they choose
Because whilst racism is still alive, no one wins, everybody lose

To those facing racism, all I can say is be brave and stay strong
To those racist, deep down in your heart you must know it’s wrong?
God blessed us by putting us here, giving us all different shades of colour
Were not meant to have the same colour skin, but we all can respect one another

Martin Luther King Jr said in 1963 “I have a dream”
But up to now it has yet to be seen
