Making a contribution to a better-informed world.In brief,that’s Radio Netherlands Worldwide’s mission.i
Radio Netherlands Worldwide is the Dutch international public broadcaster.We provide millions of people around the world with independent news,current affairs and service information, 24 hours a day on radio,television and internet.i
We work in ten languages (Dutch,English,Spanish,Portuguese,Arabic,French,Chinese, Indonesian,Papiamento and Sarnami) and from a Dutch perspective.i
RNW takes account of the differing information requirements of its target groups and adapts its output to the media situation in various regions.i
Together with the BBC,Voice of America,Radio France Internationale and Deutsche Welle,RNW belongs to the top five international public broadcasting organisations in the world.i

Distinctive
Radio Netherlands Worldwide is located in Hilversum.Around 400 people work for RNW, many of them from the countries our programmes are aimed at.i
Every day journalists,programme makers,presenters,technicians,producers and others of more than 20 nationalities create distinctive and much-discussed radio programmes,video productions and websites.i

Cooperation
Radio Netherlands Worldwide works together with Dutch and international organisations,sharing knowledge,organising symposia and congresses and supporting each other in areas where we are jointly active.i
We collaborate on an occasional basis with non-profit organisations like UNICEF, Amnesty International and Oxfam Novib.i
We also work with Dutch government ministries,newspapers (NRC,Trouw and de Volkskrant),cultural institutions (e.g.the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra) and public broadcasters.At an international level we work intensively with local radio stations and other media partners in our target areas.i
This collaboration is essential in achieving greater penetration among relevant target groups. We also have a rich tradition of cooperation with our international colleagues like Deutsche Welle,Voice of America,Radio France Internationale and the BBC World Service.i
